Janet Bosson 

Janet with 30 years experience in the UK dance industry our principal is in a great position to help you with your dance career.

Whether your a beginner wanting to dance socially or an advanced dance wanting to move in to teaching she is there to help.


Janet works mainly in Lancashire, and Cumbria but many of you will know her as a performer, coach, lecture, choreographer and event organiser in Merseyside as well.


Dancing since she was three you could say she been in the business over 51 years.

A former British Dance Council Championship Adjudicator.

A former United Kingdom Alliance Examiner.

Trained under many great teachers such as Margaret Redmond, Iris Mayers, David Bullen,

as well as Former World Ballroom, Latin American and Show Dance Champion Eric Lashbrooke,

and former World Cabaret Challenge Winner Keith Morris.

She was principal teacher of JLC Dance Ltd from 2000-2020 (20 years)

when it sadly closed due to Covid 19.

CELEBRATING

Commencing her teaching career in November 1989 with the ADA, she joined the UKA in 1996 and became a Fellow in Ballroom with them in 2004 and Latin American 2005 and in 2009 she became a Fellow with the IDTA in both Ballroom and Latin American.

Working closely with Blackpool Victoria Hospital Janet has helped run a number of events to promote dementia awareness. And has run “Silver Tea Dances” and “Seated Dance Sessions” for people with disabilities, especially those suffering from Dementia for most of her career, working with both Lancashire and Blackpool Councils.

About Janet's Deafness

Having lost her hearing as a young adult 28 years, Janet wears BAHA hearing aids. Find out more

Without hear aids she has about an 98% loss of hearing, with them she can hear as well as most people.

This means she is in a great place to teach you if your deaf or have any other disability as she is sensitive to your needs.
